The three-day GISS-Texas 2011 institute was held for 64 trustees and presidents from 18 community and technical college districts at the Marriott Dallas/Fort Worth at Champions Circle in Texas from July 31 to August 2, 2011.
Participants focused on effective governance policies leading to improvements of student outcomes, examined their board self-assessments and student success data under the guidance of GISS experts, and discussed commitments and next steps for their colleges and the state.
