On October 18-19, 2012, 101 leaders from 28 state community and technical colleges in the State of Washington convened for a second-stage GISS institute in Seattle. The GISS 2-Washington provided an opportunity for trustees and presidents to convene around using data properly, generating measures, and promoting policies to increase student success on their campuses. They also enabled repeat participants to shore up foundational lessons learned during the initial phase.

GISS 2 – Washington 2012 participants identified the needed conditions for and establishing the right climate to foster the student success and completion agenda; aligning the mission, vision and values for student success; and identifying the implications for future actions.
